We have been collecting wood from all over Texas for over 40 years, and we have NEVER harvested a tree just for the lumber. Our salvaged wood comes from urban and rural trees that are felled due to hazard, storm damage, drought, disease or new construction. We will salvage the main trunk of the tree and transport it to our saw mill and storage yard in Lometa, TX. The trees are milled into slabs or available for custom milling. We take care to label each piece of wood and track where it came from and remember the story behind every piece we build.
Oklahoma and Texas endured a severe drought in 2011, and dry conditions persisted through 2012. These drought conditions cause extreme stress on trees. One very hard hit area is the self-proclaimed “Pecan Capital of the World” San Saba, Texas. With the increased harvest opportunities we have recently out grown our 4,000 square foot facility and are expanding to an additional facility with 15,000 additional square feet to store our ever growing inventory of milled lumber.
We maintain a huge inventory of live edge slabs, quarter sawed lumber, book match slabs, cross cut logs and other uniquely milled lumber with sublime grain patterns. We also have thousands of miscellaneous burls in all shapes, sizes and species.

If you would like to see your tree put to good use, rather than become firewood, please contact us. We remove the trunk only, saving the labor of removing 4,000 to 6,000 lbs., and turning “would be trash” into beautifully crafted functional works of art.
